As weather disasters increasingly become a norm in the midwest, one would think that there would be more news stories devoted to the weather, or maybe to what the government plans to do to help these areas hit hardest, or that it is supposed to get worse over the next week or so, or doing reports on global warming and debate whether it’s actually happening (here’s a hint: it is not just coincidence that we are having the most violent storm season on record and the Earth’s temperature continues to rise on average. Discuss.), or whatever. This seems to be right up cable news’ alley. Their job is to be informative, right?
Instead, what we have received is non-stop coverage of the Obama and the Obama-mama fist bump. Constant analysis on the most meaningless thing to occur in politics ever (well, probably not ever, but close enough). Who cares? Well, apparently all of the major news sources on cable do. Some have even gone so far as to suggest that it is a possible secret terrorist handshake.
The coverage that follows this is amazing.
Crazy. Absolutely crazy. This isn’t the only analysis. CNN: You’re up.
*expletive* you, news sources. *expletive* you for thinking that this is something that demands coverage, especially in the face of things far more important than a small gesture. In fact, I feel terrible writing about this at all. (cusses omitted.)

I think it’s funny to watch people who have no idea what the “fist bump”is try to do it on TV. Even though I think it is better known as, “bump the rock”.
Also, the storm season thing has finally hit the news but they only discuss the effects of the storms right now. I have only heard a 30 second bit on NPR about how this will effect us in the next year in terms of agriculture and prices, etc.
Global warming… everyone loves the idea of being green but people don’t actually do it unless it gives them bragging rights. How sad is that?
Why did you edit this and cut out the fucks?
Who’s Gina?
I felt like it was too harsh. Also, I thought about my grandparents reading this log. I think it might give them a heartattack.
She’s a friend from Ohio.
a friend?
ha.
i’m more than a friend mister.
True. That you are. Presently: confidant. Past: more than just a confidant. When am I going to get my new running schedule, coach?
blast.
i’ll have to come up with something soon.
sorry i’m slacking and please don’t call me coach. it makes me feel old and you are slightly older than me.
It won’t happen again.
i’ve decided that i need something. so, in exchange for a running schedule, i will need some music you think i’ll like that i haven’t heard.
this might be a challenge.
